“GEG BATTLE CITY Rules"

Dates May 1st- September 1st 

This is only a Proposal. Unless noted, none of these details are confirmed until decided upon by the group established to run this circuit & event.

Purpose: Promote CEDH games in the GEG area, either online or in person. Raise funds for future GEG events, prizes, playmats, tokens, and other fun things!
Note: None of the proceeds from this event will be used for anything other than GEG endeavors.

As long as the league is ongoing, you can buy in. The following would be the points you'd receive based on the date:

This season will be a test, we will look into changing rules and entry fees at a later time after this first test season has finished.

What is it?

City-wide open play circuit with a final tournament

City Wide Circuit breaks down:
Each player is given 15 points as part of the sign-up for Battle City
In each game, players wager 1 of their points. The match winner receives the total points wagered by all players.
Each game may only be played with 4 players.

Each game's player sequence and seating order should be decided at random. 

Each match is reported under the Match Report section of the Discord and verified by all players; the rules were followed, and the game result was accurate.

Points are recorded in a Google spreadsheet that is open to the public for viewing.

Battle City lasts 3 months (the last month is used to find a date for the final tournament) or until there are 4 irrefutable point leaders to which the circuit will end early.

If a player reaches 0 points they can no longer play as part of the circuit but will still be eligible to buy back in and be eligible for random prizes at the end of the season.
If you are knocked out, you may re-buy into the league for 10$, $8 will go to the prize pool and $2 will go to GEG endeavors.

If a player does not play (2) Battle City games each month, they will generate point decay (-4 points, if one game is not played, -2 points)

Unique Player Bonus

For each unique player you challenge as part of GEG Battle City, you will receive 0.33 credits twords 1 point. 

For every 3 unique players you challenge as part of GEG Battle City, you will receive 1 point.
You may only receive credit for the first time you challenge a unique player.

FAQ

Q: Can I challenge someone to a Battle City duel during a regular CEDH tournament? What if the tournament is out of town?

A: No, you may not challenge players to a Battle City duel in a timed round during a tournament. If the rounds are not timed, you may challenge the players as long as: 1. They are part of GEG Battle City, 2. All players agree.

You will, however, be able to acquire Unique Player Bonuses during these events regardless of timed or untimed rounds.
